Friday Oct 7th

Oct 7th---by the way-sorry that i haven't been able to include photos-the "free" internet connection that i have is weak and i keep getting an error when trying to send photos.

Ok-still at Bryce Canyon-Laura set our alarm clock last night so we would get up early and watch the sunrise over the canyon. Well believe it or not-the alarm was not needed. I now-most of you won't believe that I awoke before an alarm--but it's true. I guess freezing all night makes for an awful nights sleep--therefore waking out of a deep slumber really wasnt needed. We again froze -while waiting for the sunrise-but it was worth it--just beautiful. We took one last hike-which i must admit-i complained that whole time. You would have complained also if you had the heel blister(s) that I had!!! We drove to Zion National Park-also in Utah and guess what? Laura wanted to do some more hiking. Well at least I talked her into the "easy" one. Zion is at the bottom of a canyon looking up and Bryce is at the top of a canyon looking down. Both are wonderful-so please visit them if you get the chance. We spend the night in the Element again --just parked in the parking lot of some Hotel/Steakhouse. We were pretty paranoid all night-thinking that we were going to get "busted". Lucikly- it wasn't as cold as Bryce. Side note: for a short time during the " preparing the car for bedtime" Toonces was missing--very frantic time for me. Lucikly my stuffed teddy was found and all was right in the universe.
